Some special birds.

Thanks Joel for bringing in your Kokako and Tui birds to school. We enjoyed hearing their beautiful sounds and were sad to hear about the Kokako being endangered because of predators. Sometimes we hear the call of the tui at school. It is Mrs Cooper's favourite bird because it has a lovely white feather under his chin.

  1. Wow Joel that's great to hear you talk about the tui and kokako! We don't have any tui in our kowhai tree at the moment but once the flowers come out we definitely will! Last year Gecko class we counted 15 tui in our big kowhai tree one day and 5 kereru! Have fun from Esther and Khan :)
