In the weekend we came to school to plant some trees for our new Enviro Centre. There were 1000 trees to plant and it was a rainy day. Lots of people came to help so it didn't take long to get all the plants in and afterwards there was a drink and a sausage sizzle to warm us up. What a tremendous time we had!
We really enjoyed being part of the tree planting and it was great to see so many of you gecko gardeners getting stuck in! Brody and Connie are looking forward to seeing how many oranges the tree they planted will produce in the coming years. Yum!
ReplyDeleteHello to everyone in Gecko room. We look forward to seeing the trees next time we visit Brody and our family in Oakura. We're Barbara and Jim Matheson, Brody's Granddad and Bee, and we live in Edinburgh, Scotland. We hope you enjoyed the sausages!
ReplyDeleteHi Grandad and Bee, we are really happy you are looking at our blog, thank you for leaving us a comment. Do you have Skype at your house? We would love to Skype you one day and show you our classroom and you could see Brody at school. From Gecko Room.
ReplyDeleteYes we've got Skype and use it regularly to "visit" with Brody and his family in his home, but it would be great to also see him at school. We've seen Brody's PowerPoint slides and your school looks a very bright and happy place.
DeleteThat looks like such important work Gecko room and all that rain reminds us of England!! Your singing was super too. Was that all of the pupils in your school?
