Fun times at gymnastics.

Today we went into New Plymouth to gymnastics. It was fun there because we got to crawl through a tunnel, jump of high things and we got to jump over the rope. Bryan our coach helped us and so did Jody. We are going to gymnastics each Monday until the end of term. Thanks to our parent drivers for your help.

  1. Is New Plymouth your local town? I wonder if Year 1 can find it on a map? Our school is in Leeds which is a large city in the North of England. Although we live in a city we are lucky enough to have lots of green space in Leeds and around our school there are playing fields and a small wood. What is it like where your school is?

    1. Thanks for your comment. Our school is a 10 minute drive from New Plymouth in the village of Oakura. We all live by the beach and enjoying playing there. We have lots of lovely playgrounds and fields to play on and this Sunday we are going to come to school and help plant 1000 plants in our new school Enviro Centre. We will take some photos for you so you know what we have been doing at school on Sunday. We love hearing about your school and would love to see some photos?

  3. Hi year 1, we love the windwand! It is on our coastal walkway and has a light in the ball at the top of it so it glows at night. When the wind blows, the windwand moves about on its long pole. It is a Len Lye windwand (maybe you could find out about him?) and is very special.
